The most current DCSA version of any carrier, paired with a fleet-wide IoT network
Hapag-Lloyd's developer portal runs DCSA v2.2.4, the most current version among any major carrier, with self-service registration and a sandbox environment for testing before going live. It's paired with Live Position IoT, a fleet-wide tracking network covering roughly 85% of Hapag-Lloyd's dry container fleet since its April 2024 launch, the first program of its kind among major carriers to cover dry containers at that scale, not just reefers.
What makes this specifically relevant here: in February 2026, Hapag-Lloyd partnered directly with WiseTech Global on a CargoWise-specific pilot, combining that IoT position data with predictive analytics, and reported a 75% improvement in Live ETA accuracy as a result. It's worth knowing Hapag-Lloyd's own documentation is unusually candid too, their API is currently labeled BETA, with the carrier's own guidance recommending trusting website data over API output until the next release. We build with that caveat in mind, not around it.
